Lithuania donates crowdfunded drone to Ukraine


Lithuania has donated a Turkish drone to Ukraine, to help with its defence in opposition to the Russian invasion.

A Lithuanian broadcaster, Laisves TV to start with crowdfunded 6m euros (£5.1M) to shop for the airplane from Turkish producer Baykar, who later made up our minds to donate the drone without spending a dime.

The Lithuanian govt has mentioned that the budget that have been raised will move in opposition to arming the drone and supporting humanitarian support in Ukraine.

The drone was once unveiled at an army airfield close to the north Lithuanian the town of Siauliai. Massive crowds got here to observe, with one of the attendees being individuals who donated to the reason.
